Bunge Sees 2008 Earnings Above $6 Per Share
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) -- Agriculture and food products company Bunge Ltd. on Thursday issued a 2008 earnings prediction of $6.01 to $6.30 per share.
The company expects 2008 net income of $830 million to $870 million.
The current consensus of Wall Street analysts polled by Thomson Financial calls for profit of $6.26 per share.
Bunge plans capital expenditures of $1 billion to $1.1 billion, 30 percent of which will be earmarked for investments in maintenance, safety and environmental projects.
Shares fell $9.68, or 7.8 percent, to $113.90 in premarket trading, after closing Wednesday at $123.58.
